About Us
Dr. Jereld Rice, D.V.M. . and his wife, Alina, own the Enterprise Animal Hospital. Dr. Rice has a special interest in equine medicine, reproduction, surgery, lameness, and dentistry (and is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners),
but also enjoys and appreciates the challenges of small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Dr.Rice also enjoys cattle herd management, medicine and obstetric work. Alina manages the clinic and also stays quite busy managing their two children, Jonathen age 4.5 and Katelyn age 3.
The Rice's enjoy Wallowa County, the majestic Eagle Cap Wilderness Area, and appreciate the agrarian, slow-paced, feel of the county. They look forward to meeting you and your animals in the very near future!

In addition to Veterinary medicine, Dr. Rice and Alina enjoy many outdoor activities with which they can involve their children: backpacking, cross country skiing, canoeing, and cycling are a few of the activities Jonathen and Katelyn have experienced. Both Alina and Dr. Rice spent parts of their lives starting colts, and horsemanship is a skill they admire and seek to improve. Alina grew up on a horse-powered (Belgian draft horses) farm, and they hope to add draft horses to their family in the near future.
Cheri Miller and Betsy Henry help with animal restraint and up front duties. Both are friendly, skilled, and are ready to help you with your questions and needs. Tami Andrus provides exceptional reception, phone, and special order duties with a big smile!. LaVern Rice helps with many little jobs around the clinic, including all those odd ones that no one notices until they aren't done.
